Rosa Pearson designed these business cards for Janet Scagel Design, a full-service interior design firm based in Vancouver’s North Shore.
According to Rosa, Janet Scagel designs functional and beautiful interiors that are carefully and highly customized to each individual.
“Our goal was to create a business card with a perfect balance of masculine and feminine,” she said.
“It needs to be clean, modern and has a sophisticated aesthetic. Something distinct and timeless.”
Inspired by the high end simplicity of the interiors, and the client’s preference for clean lines, Rosa weighted the type to highlight the straight lines within the letterforms, downplaying the curves inherent in their name.
As for the inspiration behind the colour palette, Rosa said, “We were inspired by the beautiful natural materials used within the spaces.”
“And just as their spaces aim to be perfectly clean and crisp, our goal with the branding was the same.”
Printing of Business Cards
These business cards were printed by Publicide, a printing company in New York.
“These cards were printed with a debossing effect of white foil and letterpress, on Classic Crest Antique Grey paper in an eggshell finish,” Rosa said.
“We fused together two sheets for that extra thick, tactile card.”
