(THE DOT) is a graphic design and printing studio based out of Mexico City, specializing in brand development and premium packaging design.
These new business cards showcase a fusion of some of the techniques that are specialized in (THE DOT) – namely foil and embossing. In this case, they have utilized copper foil, applied not only to accentuate the edges of the business card but also to create a 3D effect on the logo. These cards were meticulously crafted from 600 gsm cotton cardstock with loose fibers, as can be observed.
The inspiration behind these cards stems from the industrial foundations inherent in printing workshops, but with a focus on the luxury realm (THE DOT) aspires to specialize in. The typography, deliberately small and delicate, serves as a testament to their mastery and expertise in premium printing. Copper has been chosen as their identity material due to its prevalence in the hot-stamping foil molds they utilize.
