Lucy Jennings Graphic Designer Business Card

Lucy Jennings designed these business cards for her self-branding as a designer and illustrator based in Hackney, East London.

“I set myself this project as a way to demonstrate my style as an illustrator and promote my portfolio to potential clients. The concept is inspired by the nickname ‘Juicy Lucy‘ which my mother gave to me when I was a kid,” Lucy explained.

“The idea is, you can choose between five illustrated flavours of juice when exchanging cards, it’s been a great conversation starter and really interesting to see what people pick!”

Inspired from her childhood drinks, Lucy was able to create a nostalgic yet striking business card design for her brand.

Apart from the catchy illustrations, the ‘Nutritional Facts’ section of the card (a.k.a. the contact details) also stands out in a friendly way. Imagine yourself been handed to one of these unique cards with the compliment ‘you look real good today’, that will brighten up your day surely!

These business cards were printed by MOO on cotton paper made from 100% recycled t-shirt offcuts.

Speaking of her printing choice, Lucy said, “It’s always good to choose sustainable options when it comes to print, especially something you could potentially order a large quantity of. The recycled cotton brings out this really wonderful texture that sets it apart from your average glossy business card!”

“I also chose to use ‘Printfinity’ with MOO, meaning I could print multiple designs to the backs of my business cards, which is how I’ve been able to illustrate 5 different flavours of Juice to choose from,” she added.
