Toby Ng Design made these business cards for Culture for Tomorrow (CFT), a non-profit organisation focused on supporting cultural endeavours in Hong Kong.
Toby Ng Design managed the branding project, including art direction, brand identity, logo design, print and website design.
“Culture for Tomorrow seeks out and empowers local rising change makers and helps amplify their impact by connecting them to wider networks and platforms. As CFT brings talent and organisations together to build synergy and innovation, the brand identity is reflective of its imperative role as a connector,” explained Hill Tse, the Project Manager at Toby Ng Design.
To express the concept further, the logo is constructed in a way that composes a ‘C’ form using the brand name itself. The typography used in the visual identity is Druk.
“A secondary interchangeable system is developed for titles or statements to link to the brand logo, accentuating the concept of connection. The comprehensive layout system provides flexibility and is readily adaptable according to the organisation’s need – from showcasing their work to fostering collaborations across a multitude of platforms.”
“The extensive set of applications (digital, web, print, stationery) and event graphics echo the generative and diverse nature of the brand in producing creative output through a vast connective network.”
These duplexed business cards were screen-printed using Pantone colours. The clever choice of colour palette, bold typographic treatment and thick cardstock have all made the cards impactful and memorable.
