Lucas da Silva designed these business cards for Noah Francis, a one-man-army young gardener based in Western Australia.
According to Lucas, the design goal was to create a personal identity for Francis’s business that can be used both in Australia or on his travels as a way of making extra money on the side.
“Our challenge was to break away from generic gardening logos and the classic leaf/green-colour feel,” Lucas said, “Francis wanted his craft to come through his logo as a differential. He wanted people to be able to tell from looking at his mark that he would do a reliable and spotless job on their garden. A perfectionist.”
Explaining the inspiration behind the logo design, Lucas continued, “After a few back and fourths, I have decided to keep the logo a wordmark, and finally found inspiration in landscaping, garden edging and flower beds to come up with straight and rounded lines around his name. Put that together with a few bold colours and voila!”
These business cards were printed on an 86x54mm (good size for your wallet), 400gsm artboard with a matt laminate finish. Overall, it’s a minimal design with a memorable presence!
