Augusto Fick designed these business cards for Aline Queiroz, an architect from Fortaleza who has been operating in the market for over a year.
The focus of Aline’s work is to develop architectural projects, construction monitoring, interiors and consultancy.
“Aline Queiroz’s branding project was anchored in colours and textures,” Augusto said.
“I used black as the main colour of the brand, applying the logo and textures always in that colour, thus allowing freedom of secondary colours for the development of the brand.”
Multiple Card Designs & Colours
The business cards come in different versions – they are colourful despite minimal.
According to Augusto, the main attributes that his client needed to show in her branding was creativity, elegance and simplicity.
“I mapped the competition and realized that it was a market that didn’t have a defined colour standard.”
“Based on this, I developed a strategy of working with a variable colour palette, focusing on creativity and simple graphic elements, thus aligning the visual identity with the brand’s attributes.”
Typography & Business Card Printing
“The logo was hand-drawn, based on a font called Angle and the secondary typography is Futura, a font that the client already used in her identity.”
“The serif and contrasted typography was a strategic choice. Few competitors worked their brands with serif.”
“So, to facilitate differentiation, we chose to follow this format.”
These business cards have not been printed yet but if they were, Augusto suggested, “The main proposal was to print the materials in serigraphy on coloured papers.”
“Hence working the printing in a single colour, bringing much more personality to the project.”
