Lustre Studio designed these business cards for The Hair Bar, a contemporary hair beauty company that used organic ingredients.
The client required a logo to start releasing their hair products and also required the basic stationery.
“The logo was heavily inspired by minimalistic typography and white space,” said Roxanne Pattison, the Founder of Lustre Studio.
“The ‘R’ is subtly resembling the silhouette of a ponytail hairstyle, while still holding the clarity of the letter ‘R’.”
“Within the brand identity including business cards, some simple vector blending was used to represent the formation of hair strands, as shown in the image.”
Square Layout & Colours
The Hair Bar opted for a square layout and when asked the reason behind it, Roxanne replied, “Understanding that the company is unique aesthetically, I thought the square cards would fit in well due to the fact they are a little rarer.”
“Also, my clients suggested square business card designs from the start.”
“The soft feminine yet classy colour palette was used because I felt it complemented the brand’s personality and audience type.”
“I felt overall the design really fit with the brand’s personality.”
Business Card Printing
These business cards are not printed but if they were, here’s what Roxanne suggested, “I was hoping the cards were going to be printed on a matt laminate card with a metallic foil finish used on the social media icons using a 920gms card.”
“The colours were used in a CMYK breakdown, no Pantones were used.”
