Kiki Bakowski designed these business cards for The Color Studio, a hair salon owned by Mary Lou Argentieri.
It’s hard not to be impressed by the creativity and variety of the business card designs. I mean, just look at them!
All those vintage vibes and catchy illustrations made the cards look incredible and one-of-a-kind.
“The design concept was mainly inspired by the owner of the salon’s personality,” said Kiki, the Creative Director and Founder of EyeSavvyDesign.
“She has an ‘old soul’ vibe mixed with someone that is very young and hip.”
“I wanted to mix these two juxtaposed feelings into a visual representation of old and young, tame and wild, dull and vibrant.”
“Thinking about how the history of hairstyling can date all the way back to before the 1800s, I like how the Victorian era had very sophisticated hairstyles.”
“I took Victorian woodcut illustrations and then coloured their hair with vibrant pops of colour to get a good contrast of what represents taking something old and mixing it with something new.”
These business cards were digitally printed in 4-colour on Neenah Environment 100# Cover Dessert Storm by Caboodle Printing.
