Sarah Lives designed these business cards for The Beau Regard Hotel in New York.
According to Sarah, this project was a conceptual design and when asked about her design inspiration, she replied, “I was inspired first by the colour combo I made – the salmon beige/orange and blue – it feels very 50’s to me.”
“I came up with the name Beau Regard, which means ‘beautiful look’ or ‘eyes’ in French.”
“I wanted an illustration to go with the simple yet chic font. In my mind, this hotel could have the same vibe that the Hoxton or the Ace Hotel.”
Although these cards are still in the conceptual stage, Sarah knew how the cards should be printed.
“I could see those cards been printed on a beautiful Mohawk paper (like 320g) with pantone colours, completed with some varnish on card details, such as the eyeballs illustration and The Beau Regard Hotel logotype.”
