Anastasia Salmanova designed these business cards for Rekrownn, a company that offers a full range of high quality service in the areas of construction, design and development for class A+ and `A commercial property.
“The brand name, Rekrownn, comes from the word ‘recrown’. The company wanted to sound like something German, because they are stoic people who strive for perfectionism and precision in all aspects of their work as Germans are,” Anastasia said.
“The design challenge involved developing a strong impression brand identity that would translate Rekrownn’s philosophy: being modern and one of a kind. I wanted to emphasize the German spirit of the brand, so I was looking for inspiration through such logos as Borch, Rehau, Karcher, Knauf, Kaufland, Renfert and Kriedler.”
When been asked about the typography and colours used in the visual identity, Anastasia replied, “The logotype is based on Arial typeface but it was customized to make better balance between the logo’s elements.”
“The logomark includes the first and last letters of the brand name and the crown between them. And these elements are framed to look as a unit and solid. Also, the logo is responsive, so it is scalable and fits for different types of media.”
“The colour system includes black and yellow (or gold on some printable items) and white and grey.”
“The colour system was inspired by a construction tape, black and white marbles and royal interiors. Most of the corporate items are made with black colour to create a rich and strong image.”
These business cards were printed by Tipografia Gorod, a printing company in Moscow, Russia.
“The cards were printed on Keaykolour Deep Black Paper, 600 g/m2 with glossy gold foil embossing. The cards feel luxury when you hold them in your hands,” Anastasia said.
