ORI Systems Business Card

Kristine Arth designed these business cards for Ori Systems, a company that enables effortless transformation of interior spaces by using a robotic system that adapts to your environment.

Kristine managed the brand identity from start to finish – including naming the company as well.

“The name ‘Ori’ was derived from the word origami, the Japanese art of folding paper to create beautiful and remarkable objects,” Kristine explained.

“The etymology of ‘Ori’ felt magical and helped to describe the effortless act to create or hide space, just like the product.”

Speaking more about Ori Systems, Kristine said, “The company expands to create working, living and entertainment spaces.”

“Ori’s promise is to liberate urban design, provide new user experiences, and unlock the potential of the places we increasingly want to live, work and play.”

“The robotic technologies come out of MIT Media Lab’s CityHome project, focused on utilizing technology to respond to the challenges of global urbanization.”

The typefaces used in the visual identity are Joanna Nova and Neue Haas Unica Pro.

The Printing of Business Cards

These business cards were printed on Mohawk SuperWhite 180lb smooth paper at a local shop in Boston.

“The cards are simple, elegant and affordable with only one-color hit. The emphasis was put on the back by debossing the logo,” Kristine said.

The printing shop is no longer in business. The additional cards were printed in mass quantities by MOO.

“But, my favorite letterpress shop here in San Francisco is Dependable Letterpress. They are fantastic!” Kristine recommended.
