Oliva Skincare Business Card

Pratiksha Sharma designed these business cards for Oliva, a skincare company.

According to Pratiksha, the word ‘Oliva’ is derived from the Latin word that means ‘olive tree’. The olive tree is a symbol of peace and friendship, this association began in ancient Greece, as early as the fifth century.

“I wanted to create something minimal for this brand. I added a branch of an olive tree to give the brand authenticity.”

The typeface used for the visual identity is Kousis, a serif font that includes elements of feminism and elegance.

“The font gave the logo a feminine touch which may attract the brand’s target audience. For the colours, I chose shades of purple, green and yellow. Every colour evokes emotion in different ways.”

“Yellow was selected to give the brand the tinge of happiness and optimism. Shades of purple were chosen to benefit the customers when they use the skincare products. Green was chosen to portray the genuineness of the products; all products are natural and are extracted straight from the olive tree.”

These business cards are not printed but if they were, “I would go for a linen-textured business card, so that it gives you a feeling of the company when you touch it,” Pratiksha suggested.

“I would choose 300gsm for the cards and opt for a matte finish because I want the solid colours to stand out.”
