Svetlana Orlova designed these business cards for Mood Makers, a beauty salon specializing in both manicure and pedicure.
“The owners of Mood Makers wanted to give their customers a sense of care and comfort in their studio. The studio has a very warm and pleasant atmosphere in which it’s impossible not to have their fair share of good mood for the day!” Svetlana said.
“Mood Makers see customers as friends, whom they share the positivity with. They want to keep up with the latest trends. They don’t want to appear to be a high-end salon and aren’t interested in glitzy decor.”
The business card design is simple yet stylish and elegant at the same time. It wishes to portray an image of a friendly and pleasant place.
“The logo was hand drawn according to the ready-made font. I gave more softness to the letters to convey a state of comfort,” Svetlana said.
“For the brand name ‘Mood’, two images are used: the image of polish bottles (the top view) and the image of a smile.”
“I wanted to convey ease, positive and friendliness for Mood Makers. Therefore, blue and soft pink were used. This colour combination gave the brand a distinctive salon vibe from its competitors.”
These business cards have not been printed but if they were, “The cards would be printed on Touche paper or with soft touch lamination. Both are very reliable on the tactile level,” Svetlana suggested.
