Xavier Esclusa Trias designed these business cards for Marta Rabassa, an interior designer in Spain.
Describing the business nature of his client, Xavier said, “Interior design is the art and science of enhancing the interior of a building to achieve a healthier and more aesthetically pleasing environment for the people using the space.”
“Marta Rabassa researches, coordinates and manages such enhancement projects.”
“Symbolically, the arch is most often thought of as a gateway or threshold – some means of passing from one plane (figurative or literal) to another,” Xavier replied when been asked about the inspiration behind the logo.
“At its core, it is a transition. It is a departure from the old and entrance into the new; it is a rebirthing. Some cultures liken the arch to victory,” Xavier said.
“In this case, the letter ‘m’ and ‘r’ – Marta Rabassa’s initials – were used to form the arches.”
“The colours have been chosen based on different materials that Marta Rabassa uses in her projects: Wood, Marble, Glass and Copper.”
“The font is a Swis721 Win95BT, very similar to Helvetica. It’s clear, forceful and very functional.”
These business cards were offset-printed with stamping technique by Copyset, a printing company in Vic.
