Fynray Studio designed these business cards for Lustra, a company that specializes in manufacturing of natural and local honey.
“Lustra is a company that offers high quality food from approximately 20 manufacturers in Luster,” explained Baifern, the Graphic Designer at Fynray Studio.
“Their products have local roots, and are developed from old traditions.”
“Honey is one of their products, which is produced from local and natural ingredients.”
Logo Design & Typography
“The logo design idea was to express the aesthetic of natural and local honey through a logotype that speaks to the audience in a modern way,” Baifern continued.
“The construction of the logo was based on the font Source Sans Pro, and was adjusted by, for example, adding curl to the letters ‘L’ and ‘R’, and adjusting the size of the letters ‘S’ and ‘A’ to add some sweet, uniqueness and playfulness to the logo.”
The business card design embraced a minimalist approach while using an enlarged font to capture prospects’ attention and create a memorable impact.
Colours & Business Card Printing
“This project was an attempt to communicate the sweetness of the product without saying it directly by for instance drawing a bee or honeycomb.”
“The result was using a colour palette that was inspired by honey, and the radial spot that takes its inspiration from a honey drop.”
These business cards are not printed yet but if they were, “They would be printed on wild paper which is a blend of 35% cotton fibers and 65% virgin pulp to get a natural feeling,” Baifern suggested.
