3TA Design designed these business cards for Louis Café, a café pub based in Greece.
Louis Café serves delicious Greek traditional snacks, including special drinks and liqueurs.
3TA Design managed the branding project including designing its stationery, posters and business cards.
The word ‘Λούης’ on the business card is actually Louis in Greek. The naming of the café was based on the character’s name found in a Greek novel that took place in the 1950s.
“Our design goal was clear: we had to imitate the look and feel of the after World War II graphics of the time in Greece. A mix of American, English German, and Soviet advertisements and propaganda posters & brochures,” said Tassos Hatzipanagos, the Graphic Designer at 3TA Design.
The typography used for the logotype is Courier. According to Tassos, they used the retro (1950’s) colour palette for the visual identity.
As for the card-printing, it was handled by the card owner himself. Speaking of the possible printing outcome, Tassos said, “The cards would be printed on velvet 300gsm paper via offset printing.”
