Stayc Sinclair designed these business cards for Grow with the Flow, a boutique florist owned by Mary Conelle in Coolum Beach, Queensland.
This is a fun brand identity that exudes personality and creativity, further amplified by bold shapes and colours to portray floristry in the modern day.
“The client wanted to differentiate themselves from the typical florist experience and stand out in an already overpopulated marketplace. I did this by combining bright, bold and modernistic elements that are not ‘typically’ seen in this work space,” Stayc said.
“When it came to choosing a colour pallet for this brand, nothing was left to the imagination. The client had given me an open brief with one request: MAKE IT BRIGHT. So that’s exactly what I did.”
“I have added simple, futuristic floral icons to the brand pattern to reflect the floristry materials as well as geometric shapes and patterns.”
Apart from that, the card’s unique typography is another reason that draws the eyeballs.
According to Stayc, it is not a typical cursive typeface with an illustrated rose to state the obvious – but something to disrupt the scene and stand out amongst the weeds.
“The typefaces used are Adobe fonts that have been slightly altered to create a little more personality. The extended sans serif of the body copy pairs well with the fun, quirky typeface that makes up the logo.”
These business cards were printed on a 400gsm matt stock with a natural texture finish by Copirite Design in Bundall, Gold Coast.
