Laura Prpich designed these business cards for Dandy Lines, a brick-and-mortar boutique that carries high-quality artisan goods.
Located in the heart of downtown Prince George, Dandy Lines is the best store for gifts, home decor, and clothing. Since 1981, its customers have gotten personalised service, great products, and a beautiful place to shop.
After 40+ years in business, Dandy Lines needed a rebrand and Laura’s design studio, Caribou Creative, provided the assistance required. They achieved this by giving emphasis to Old World design to reflect the client’s heritage building space and the timeless products carried in the shop.
The business cards are part of the rebranding project, using mostly dark tones to reflect timelessness, elegance and sophistication. This is a fantastic representation of the rebrand’s central concept – which is to put more emphasis on old-world charm.
According to Laura, the logotype is a manipulated version of Goldenbook, and the tagline is in Gotham, which fits perfectly into the card’s vertical layout. Both fonts are classics that never go out of style!
To complement the design, an illustration of a dandelion is used in the visual identity due to the brand’s namesake. It adds grace and a vintage feel to the overall design.
These business cards were printed by Jukebox Print using 1-colour printing on thick 16pt black paper stock.
