P’cakes Business Card

Wedesignstuff designed these business cards for P’cakes (Petra’s cakes), a brand of creative cakes and sweet stories.

“The client, Petro Sodja’s approach to creating, which incorporates natural decoration, reflects her personality and lifestyle. Hence, we wanted to highlight that in the logo,” said Nika Ferš, the Graphic Designer at Webdesignstuff.

“Our design inspiration came from the apostrophe in the name (‘). If we look at it in a graphical sense the apostrophe replaces missing letters. We decided to turn it around and style it in such a way that it represents a cherry, which is often used in iconographic representations of cakes.”

The metaphor the cherry on top of the cake also symbolizes the ‘above and beyond’ touch to a solution, which is a very appropriate brand value to communicate, as P’cakes always go above and beyond for their clients.

The colour palette used for the visual identity was inspired from a forest theme and berry bushes, which are all closely related to Petra.

“Petra’s creations are very colourful and always different based on the occasions (like weddings, birthdays, children cakes etc), so we set the colour palette in such a way, that different colour shades can be used for different occasions,” Nika explained.

These business cards were offset printed on Europapier Design papers – Crush (grape), Crush (kiwi), Crush (hazelnut), 350g.
