Lucy’s Logos designed these business cards for On the Marc Kitchens, a kitchen design and fitting business.
“The name of the owner is Marc so we wanted the name to reflect both the accuracy of his precision when working as well as a play on his name,” Lucy said.
The business card design looks professional and recognizable, thanks to its creative logo and a striking colour palette.
“We wanted the logo to be angular to represent the fitting of wood/pieces/cabinets together – as you would when making a kitchen or any other carpentry. The ‘x’ is yet another representation of ‘on the marc’ as in, ‘x’ marks the spot,” Lucy explained.
The typeface used is Adrianna Extended in Demi Bold for the name and Regular for the tagline.
“We wanted the typeface to be neutral, clean and smart. Something that was bold enough to be noticed but didn’t pull focus from the M logo.”
“As for the colours, we wanted something neutral but still eye-catching. So, we went with an off-white, dark grey and orange. The orange is a gender-neutral and warm feeling colour, perfect for attracting all types of clients. The warmth gives it that ‘homey’ feeling that Marc’s clients are looking for when creating their dream kitchen.”
These business cards were printed by MOO.
“We went for the Luxe business cards with the orange centre, to add to the feel of the brand identity and give the cards a really sturdy and luxury feel. Again, things people look for when having their kitchen made.”
“The orange centre fill also gives the cards a really nice seamless feel with the orange back yet adds solid definition from the front,” Lucy added.
