Jad & Co. designed these business cards for Gone West, an eco-conscious retailer that provides its clients with organic and ethically made products.
“Gone West was a passion project solely created for one of many dream clients. The company aims to provide their customers with an experience that inspires,” Jad said.
“The goal of the design was to create a brand that not only exudes a whimsical elegance but also reflects the humble, authentic core that is Gone West.”
Logo Design & Typography
The business card design is typography-based with a strategic and clean layout. It’s aimed at showcasing the personality and values of the business within the design.
According to Jad, the inspiration behind the logo was to truly represent the ethereal aesthetic and core values of the brand.
“The typography within the visual identity began with elegant font choices, custom ligatures and nature inspired designs. The logo then took on its very own style, paired with a sans serif font pairing (Acumin Pro Wide) that complements the organic nature of the brand.”
“The original font inspiration came from ‘Tan – Pearl Regular’ which after some customization, became the Gone West logo you see today.”
The natural, cedar-inspired gold was chosen to go with the brand’s overall aesthetic and colour scheme.
These business cards have not been printed, but if they were, “They would be printed on 100% recycled paper, 298gsm paper with an uncoated finish. Preferably MOO tree-free recycled cotton cards to enforce the Gone West values even down to the paper,” Jad said.
