Alana Boeira designed these business cards for her self-branding as a graphic designer from Brazil.
“I wanted my business card to be simple and straightforward but still able to stand out from most cards. So, I decided to go for a square shape instead,” Alana said.
“On the front of the card there is my logo. I designed the icon based on some physical features of mine in a style that I think is a reflection of the kind of work I’d like to do: fun and cute.”
“The pattern that surrounding the logo represents a little of my design process: the creative phase where my workspace is full of shapes and elements that I’m trying to combine to create something. I really wanted the contrast of the subtle light pink with the bright saturated orange to stand out.”
The typeface Alana used in the visual identity is Josefin Sans, which according to her is described as geometric, elegant and with a vintage feel.
These business cards are not printed but if they were, “I would want the cards to be printed on a very heavy paper with a matte finish to let my design be the highlight of the card,” Alana suggested.
