Enrique Presa Studio designed these business cards in collaboration with Maggy Villarroel for La Bodeguilla, a restaurant located in the center of Palma de Mallorca founded in 1986.
“Very focused on the world of wine, with a very extensive menu, La Bodeguilla needed a new identity aligned with the new gastronomic proposal: a traditional cuisine made with local and seasonal products but with a modern touch,” said Maggy Villarroel, the Art Director of the studio.
“The design has taken the inspiration from the stencil style of the fonts formerly used to mark the wine barrels.”
“Although the most common fonts for this purpose were sans serifs we used a serif stencil font to communicate history, a value rooted in the DNA of the brand.”
“Likewise, the use of wood, the engraving and the stamp refer us to the world of wine and craft.”
The Printing of Business Cards
These business cards were printed by a local printer called Nueva Balear.
“The paper used for the business cards is Matérica Gesso from Fedrigoni, 360g/m2 with dry embossed,” Maggy said.
“We also made a rubber stamp to enhance an artisan feel.”
This is a stunning design for a brand with a long history, preserving its tradition while offering a modern feel.
