Valquíria Rabelo and Patrícia Rezende designed these business cards for Architecture in Periphery, a unique initiative (and NGO) founded by Carina Guedes that provides housing improvement to low-income neighborhoods in Brazil.
Speaking of the brand, Valquíria said, “The name of this social enterprise, Architecture in Periphery, already says a lot: it’s a project made by and for women. They are the ones who plan, design and get their hands dirty. They are the ones who believe in each other and in their own potential.”
Inspired by the feminine icon, Valquíria and her team developed a singular graphic shape that communicates women’s leadership in this scenario.
“Made with the concept ‘women are the key’, the visual identity expresses the ideas of emancipation, knowledge, trust and habitation in a minimalist and symbolic approach.”
Besides the logo, the brand system is also composed of a strong colour palette that communicates the energy and the vitality of this project.
These business cards were printed by Aster Graf on Pop’Set Cosmo Pink paper, using only black ink. According to Valquíria, the result is a custom but also a low-cost solution.
