11th and Bay Southern Table Restaurant Business Card

11th and Bay Southern Table Restaurant Business Card

Bobsie Turner Design made these business cards for 11th and Bay Southern Table, a restaurant in Columbus, Georgia that combines southern hospitality with creative southern-inspired cuisine.

11th and Bay Southern Table is situated in a historic cotton warehouse that has been renovated to create a fresh, clean atmosphere that is warm and inviting.

The restaurant uses fresh seasonal ingredients sourced from local farmers and suppliers.

The original wood grain and brick textures remain as the backdrop for the modern interior design.

With that in mind, Bobsie Turner Design created these business cards to help capture some of the feeling you get when you visit the restaurant.

The Printing of Business Cards

These business cards were letterpress-printed by Rise and Shine Letterpress using a 1955 Heidelberg Windmill.

“The wood grain texture of the business cards was pressed into the paper using a transparent varnish, to give it just a bit more contrast than a purely blind deboss would offer,” said Ryan Howell, the Co-Founder of the printing company.

“The ink was mixed 50% transparent and 50% opaque to help add to the letterpress texture that gives the print the modern-yet-rustic texture that helps the logo blend seamlessly with the wood grain.”

“This is a great example of how to use the texture and shadow of letterpress to create an evocative design.”
