Xavi Palouzié designed these business cards for Violant Márquez, a flavour expert who specializes in selecting and handling only the best gourmet products for clients from all over Spain.
These monochromatic business cards are single-sided and feature a special die-cut design that sets them apart from other brands.
Elegant Brand Image
Hand-cut acorn ham is Violant’s specialty, and she does it with the precision of a sculptor.
Not only does Violant choose the best cheese, salmon, oil or wine, she also frequently gives tasting and training lessons.
The business cards capture the essence of the brand while conveying a sense of elegance and femininity.
Customized Logotype & Monochrome Colours
The logotype has both thick and thin strokes that are carefully customized to fit the brand image.
“The high-contrast typeface has been modified to remind people of the hand-cut products,” Xavi explained.
“This includes everything from the thickness of the slices to their taste, the colours, and also the scents. A product that strikes a nice balance between all these elements.”
As for the brand symbol, the letter “O” was die-cut for a special reason.
“The cut-out ‘O’ represents the eye during product selection and the mouth during tasting process,” Xavi added.
When these typographic elements are put together, they give the brand a modern look without compromising its sophistication and minimalism.
The monochrome colour palette used on the business cards makes them a perfect contrast to the products.
It provides a clean, professional look while not stealing attention away from the products.
