Gunter Piekarski designed these business cards for Vaporetto Pizza, a mobile Neapolitan wood-fired artisan pizzeria that can be found on the streets of Hampshire, Surrey and Sussex as well as at private events, festivals and parties across the UK.
Gunter’s client, James, developed the idea for a mobile pizzeria while riding the Haute Route cycle race in the French Alps.
“According to James, roadside pizza is such a thing in France, which they use fantastic ingredients and a scorching wood-fired oven to create the ultimate fast food, and it’s not expensive as well. So, after learning his craft at the revered Association Verace Pizza Napoletana in Naples and Florence’s Bivero Pizza Academy, James launched his first custom-built pizza truck in 2018,” Gunter said.
“The logo is drawn to echo the fonts of early 20th-century Italian Futurism (Futurismo). The typeface selected for the text is Aperçu from Colophon, chosen for its balance of both contemporary and classic Gothic fonts. The racing green and off-white give a vintage feel, without being overly pastiche.”
These business cards were printed in one spot colour (Pantone 5535) on 540gsm Colorplan Natural paper by Avenue Litho.
