Anamarija Leljak designed these business cards for Riding Hood Market Delivery, a concierge level grocery shopping and delivery service founded by Kim Widener.
“Kim’s passion for quality artisan foods and premium services are the inspiration for Riding Hood. The goal was to create a confident brand that attracts clients who are sophisticated people who value local, fresh products! The brand vibes needed to be mature, yet playful with luxurious touches and still carry the message of local premium food,” Anamarija said.
Speaking of the design process, she continued, “Since the main focus of the business is a delivery of local groceries and the brand name Riding Hood is inspired by a fairytale, we decided to go with a literal appearance and common point which was the basket full of food!”
“The logo appearance needed to be playful in order to show the local food production, yet keep also a luxurious look because food is premium quality and the brand target audience is people with slightly higher income.”
As for the colours, they were connected with the Riding Hood theme and are rich and deep in order to create a premium look.
“With the premium, elegant colours, in order to keep the playfulness, I combined the illustrations of the food taken from the logo design. The choice of typography (Arlette THA and Co Headline – Light) was based, as well as the whole branding, on the mix of vibes: a friendly, local, and modern look at the same time, which it’s not too rustical, and it’s not too premium.”
The client handled the card-printing themselves. Even so, Anamarija did share her ideal vision of the business card specifications with us.
“Square business cards using heavy uncoated textured paper with good environmental characteristics that can still have the mix of the luxurious, yet textured surface,” she suggested.
