Chris Forsyth designed these business cards for Grit, a small creative studio working with organizations to create beautifully bold brands.
“We bring brands to life in the physical and digital space,” said Chris, the Designer and Director at Grit.
“The business cards are a small self-promotion piece for Grit, designed by Grit. The business cards were designed with simplicity and tactility in mind. The design process itself was very straight forward – keep it simple.”
“On the other hand, the process of sourcing paper stocks was a longer process. I wanted something that was meaty to hold, and nice to touch,” Chris said.
Explaining more about the colours and paper choice, Chris continued, “Colorplan paper by Ball & Doggett was the ideal choice for its weight, earthiness and range of colours available.”
“The duplexing method allowed the paper stocks to create a rigid card and it also allowed me to utilize two of my favourite colours, mid green and ebony black.”
“The blind embossing on the reverse side adds an extra level of tactility. It was a nice subtle way to play with light and shadow on the card,” he added.
