Experience Croatia Travel Business Card

Mariano Lampacrescia designed these business cards for Experience Croatia, an Australian travel business.

“Experience Croatia is owned by a family born and raised in Croatia. They specialize in tours, luxury cruises and sailing around Croatia itself and other Balkan countries, like Slovenia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Montenegro and Albania, and they had run this business for over 40 years. Thus, ‘Travel Specialists for over 40 years’ is part of their claim. So I’m working with them in a redesign project that is still in the works,” Mariano said.

Speaking about the process and the inspiration behind this neat design, Mariano explained, “In order to propose some successful rebranding options, the design process starts with talking with the client, knowing their work, who they are and which are the main problems they’re facing. In between some other logos this one is still my favorite, as includes a smart and timeless logo mark that includes an E+C+Fortress symbol – playing here as well the Croatian pattern of dots – (E+C goes for ‘Experience Croatia’ and the fortresses are part of the Balkan history throughout some different countries of the region). So this, in addition to a simple but effective type work, made a really nice logo lockup with some other iterations and assets.”

Apart from its unique logo, the business card has a distinctive colour palette as well. “The color scheme was mainly part of the original branding system they already have, but they were polished to have good contrast between the printed materials and digital assets. The main dark blue resembles a navy feeling. Luxury, comfort and professionalism, are other values that are resembled on the color scheme,” Mariano explained.

These business cards have not been printed yet. According to Mariano, “My printing suggestions would be: letterpress cards printed on a 13pt uncoated natural cardstock. Very simple and professional. Perhaps a subtle debossing could be added to the main mark at the front or the shield at the back, to give a premium finishing.”
