Ritual Studio designed these business cards for BE. Pilates, an exclusive boutique Pilates studio that provides a comfortable space for people to not only work out their bodies, but also to find meaning in movement and work within themselves.
At BE. Pilates, individuality is respected and encouraged, allowing clients the freedom to explore, challenge, and create something that works for themselves.
Brand Image & Customised Logotype
The business card is minimal yet artistic, with a beautiful font choice and the focus being placed on the monogram.
As explained by Sarah, the founder of Ritual Studio, “The idea of the business card design is to express a confident, nurturing, and contemporary brand image,”
- Confident – a quiet type of confidence both for the brand itself and within the clients that all clients upon leaving a session — feeling confident about what they can do and achieve.
- Nurturing – calm, comfortable and safe.
- Contemporary quality.
Sarah customised the logotype based on the typeface called Ghania.
“I added the wave between the letters to represent flow and movement,” Sarah said.
“The secondary typeface used is Source Sans Pro. It’s a clean, minimal and contemporary font that’s slightly more masculine to offset the femininity of the logo, and to represent strength and confidence.”
Brand Colour & Business Cards: Attention to Detail
Sarah used off-white (ivory) for the business card’s background. That gives the overall design a clean, crisp look.
Also, BE. Pilates’ brand imagery features a lot of deep grey tones, and charcoal is a great way to represent that.
Overall, this is a simple business card design with great attention to detail. The visual identity was elevated to a whole new level through a few subtle yet elegant features.
